Who We Are
The Arlington Municipal Patrolman's Association was founded in April of 2003. We came together to represent those who either are not part of another association, or are not satisfied with their current representation. We help our members with discipline issues, grievances and the use of the Freedom of Information Act.
Our Association takes an active role in addressing individual member issues and those that affect the membership as a whole.
The AMPA consists of a Board of Directors dedicated to serving you, which includes both sworn and non-sworn personnel from Police service. These directors volunteer their time and effort without compensation from member dues.
We have a very low operations overhead which means more of the money we collect in dues is directed to addressing issues and assisting members. We also offer a suspension reimbursement program for up to five days for our members with Board approval.
